Do mods carry over between save files?

Newer to FS25 - if I enable a mod in one save, does it automatically show up as available in my other saves too, or do I need to enable it separately each time?

The mod just needs to be in your mods folder and it'll show up as available in every save - you still have to tick it on per-save though.
