Farming Simulator 25 Launches

Farming Simulator 25 officially launched on November 12, 2024, releasing simultaneously on PC, Mac, Xbox Series X/S, and PlayStation 5. A Nintendo Switch 2 version followed a few weeks later, arriving December 9, 2024 as the Farming Simulator Signature Edition. The launch was a big one for GIANTS Software: by some contemporary reports, concurrent Steam players passed 135,000 over opening weekend alone. The game brought a reworked visual engine, an overhauled seasons system, and updated vehicle physics and gearboxes compared to Farming Simulator 22. Like most big releases, the first few weeks were about stability as much as content. GIANTS pushed Update 1.3 on November 27 and Update 1.4 on December 12, both focused on bugfixes rather than new features — the usual pattern of tightening things up once a much larger player base than any beta could simulate starts actually playing. From there, the roadmap shifted toward content: a Year 1 Season Pass bringing new packs and maps through 2025, which we'll cover in a separate post. If you're just getting into FS25 now, this is genuinely a good time to start — a year and a half of patches and content packs later, it's a considerably more polished game than it was on day one.
