Farming Simulator 25's First Year: A Look Back
With Farming Simulator 25's Year 2 Season Pass now announced, it's worth looking back at what actually shipped during Year 1 — it was a genuinely busy twelve months.
The NEXAT Pack arrived first, in March 2025, bringing the modular NEXAT machine system to FS25. Precision Farming — a fan-favorite free system from previous titles — returned in May 2025 with new equipment from John Deere, ISARIA and Wienhoff. June brought the Plains & Prairies Pack, and by August, the Straw Harvest Pack rounded out the summer with more equipment for baling and straw handling.
The biggest addition came in November 2025: the Highlands Fishing Expansion, which added the Kinlaig map along with a full fishing system — a genuinely new activity for the series, not just new equipment on an existing map. The same month brought the JCB World's Fastest Tractor DLC and, on November 18, 2025, GIANTS announced the Year 2 Season Pass, kicking off the next round of content.
A few themes stood out across Year 1: GIANTS mixed paid content packs with free updates (Precision Farming notably came back at no cost), leaned on both brand-new equipment and FS22 mod-map remasters like Silverrun Forest and HORSCH AgroVation, and closed the year with something genuinely new to the series rather than just more machinery.
If you've been away from FS25 since launch, Year 1's content is a good reason to jump back in — full official details are at farming-simulator.com.
