How to Install Farming Simulator 25 Mods

How to Install Farming Simulator 25 Mods
If you're new to modding Farming Simulator 25, installing a mod is simpler than it looks. Here's the short version. 1. Download the mod. Every mod page on FS25ModZone has a Download button that takes you straight to the file. Save it somewhere you'll remember — your Downloads folder is fine. 2. Find your mods folder. On Windows, Giants Editor and the game itself use `Documents\My Games\FarmingSimulator2025\mods`. If that folder doesn't exist yet, launch the game once first — it creates it automatically. 3. Move the file in. Most mods download as a single .zip file. Do not extract it — Farming Simulator 25 loads mods directly from the zipped file, and unzipping it will actually stop it from working. Just drag the .zip straight into the mods folder. 4. Enable it in-game. Start Farming Simulator 25, load your save (or start a new one), and open the mod menu from the pause screen. Newly added mods show up there — tick the box next to it to activate it. 5. Restart if needed. Some mods, especially ones that change core gameplay systems, only take effect after a full restart of the game rather than just the mod menu toggle. If something doesn't seem to be working, that's the first thing to try. A couple of things that trip people up: - Map mods usually need to be enabled before you start a new save, not mid-save. - If a mod needs another mod to work (a "dependency"), the mod's description will say so — install both. - Mods are built for a specific game version. If Giants pushes a big update and a mod stops working, check the mod's page for a note about compatibility before assuming it's broken. That's really all there is to it. If a mod isn't behaving the way its description says it should, our Report Abuse button on the mod page is the fastest way to flag it to us.
